Juice of Kindness

Krishna Nayak has been quenching the thirst of visually challenged people by offering them juice, free of cost. Nayak, who owns a juice centre in Dharwad, Karnataka, said that he was inspired by the work of the visually challenged Hindustani and Carnatic vocalist, late Puttaraj Gawai, and views his act as a payback to society. He also added that people should provide selfless service according to their abilities without expecting any rewards or returns.

A nationalist to the core, he believed strongly that modern education would inculcate patriotism and self-respect in the people. His inspiring speeches and writing landed Tilak in jail several times. But this did not dampen his spirit or will to cast off the yoke of foreign rule from his motherland.
